Perfect for families, folklore lovers, and anyone who enjoys a bit of spooky fun, this vibrant community celebration brings the traditions of Samhain to life in the heart of the Burren.
Event Details
- Friday 23rd October – Honouring the Voices of the Elders at Samhain – Storytelling Workshop & Exchange for Seniors
- Saturday 24th October – Samhain Púca Storytelling Symposium: Dinnseanchas – Landscapes of Life, Memory & Stone, featuring guest presenter David Keohan aka Indiana Stones
- Sunday 25th October – Community & Family Fun Day – Storytelling, face painting, trick-or-treating at the witches’ cottage, fancy dress competitions and Halloween-themed activities
- Sunday 25th October at 7.30pm – Samhain na h-Ainmhí – Animal Opera – A collaborative, multidisciplinary performance exploring the interconnectedness of humans and the more-than-human world through choreography, sound, music, visual art, spoken word and dance. €10 per person, tickets available at the door
