Our Story

Shannon Springs Hotel has been a cornerstone of hospitality in Shannon since its establishment. Originally opened as Shannon Court Hotel, the property quickly became a popular choice for both business and leisure travellers due to its proximity to Shannon International Airport.

In 2016, the hotel underwent a significant transformation when it was acquired by Dermot Kelly and John Gavin, two seasoned hoteliers with a shared vision of revitalising the property and enhancing its offerings. Dermot Kelly, a graduate of GMIT, and John Gavin, an alumnus of the Shannon College of Hotel Management, brought their extensive experience and passion for the hospitality industry to the hotel. Their commitment to excellence and innovation led to a comprehensive refurbishment, elevating Shannon Springs Hotel to new heights of comfort and style.

A key part of the hotel’s charm is that it is home to The award-winning Old Lodge Gastro Pub, a beloved gathering place for both guests and the local community.
